This is a healthy snack for kids and adults alike as it uses urad dal/ black gram, chana dal/ Bengal gram and ghee/clarified butter. It takes a little time to get ready, but it is worth trying. It is a simple recipe with the use of only 3 ingredients. This is a good dessert or an evening snack. Moreover, you can easily make this laddu at home and store it for a longer time. Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- Dry roast the dal on a low flame and stir it continuously so that it gets roasted evenly.
- Make the powder of roasted dal. It should be neither too smooth nor too coarse.
- You can adjust sugar according to your taste.
- Add melted ghee little by little. Check if the mixture is binding or not.
- You can add chopped dry fruits to the mixture.
- Garnish the laddu with cashew nuts.
