Vegetable Dosa | Mix Veg Dosa is a mouthwatering variation for everyone. 

Vegetable Dosa | Mix Veg Dosa is a delicious and healthy version of dosa. It has lots of veggies like onion, carrot, capsicum along with a nice flavour of mint and curry leaves. This goes well with any type of chutney. Moreover, it is very easy to prepare using simple and easily available ingredients. You need only 5 to 10 minutes to prepare the dish if you have dosa batter ready. Everyone will this colourful dosa. This is a healthy ad nutritious dosa as this uses veggies. So, try to make it at home ad enjoy with your family. Do let us know your feedback as well.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Use veggies of your choice except tomato to prepare the dosa.
  • Make sure the veggies are finely chopped else it will difficult to spread the batter.
  • Make the dosa on hot tawa. You can use cast iron or non-stick tawa to make the dosa.
  • Cook the dosa on a low flame by covering with a lid for the perfect texture.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR DOSA BATTER:-
  • Rice - 3 Cup
  • Urad Dal/Black Gram Without skin - 1 Cup
  • Danamethi/Fenugreek Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Poha/Flattened rice - a handful
  • Salt - as per taste
  • INGREDIENTS FOR VEGETABLE DOSA:-
  • Chopped onion - 1
  • Grated carrot - 2 to 3 Tablespoon
  • Green Capsicum - 1/4 Cup finely chopped
  • Mint Leaves - a handful finely chopped
  • Curry Leaves - few chopped
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - as required

Instructions

  1. PREPARING THE DOSA BATTER:- Wash and soak the rice, urad dal/black gram without skin separately for 4 to 6 hours. Mix fenugreek seeds and flattened rice with rice to soak well.
  2. Then drain the water and grind the soaked ingredients to make a smooth batter. Keep the batter aside overnight for fermentation.
  3. PREPARING VEGETABLE DOSA:- Take a bowl and add dosa batter, chopped onion, grated carrot, finely chopped capsicum, chopped mint leaves, curry leaves, salt. Mix well.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with oil.
  5. Once the tawa is hot, pour the batter and spread it. Pour some oil on the sides. Cover and cook it on a low flame 2 to 3 minutes. Then flip it and let it cook for few seconds. Then take it out on a serving plate.
  6. Delicious 'Vegetable Dosa | Mix Veg Dosa' is ready to be served.
