Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Flour / Gehu Ka Aata - 1 Cup
  • Semolina / Sooji - 1 Cup ground
  • Carom Seeds / Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 2 Finely chopped
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • Boiled Potato / Uble Huye Aloo - 1 Peeled
  • Water - As required
  • Oil - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl. Add sooji, carom seeds, salt, red chilli powder, green chilli, and coriander leaves.
  2. Add water gradually to prepare a lump-free and medium consistency batter. Then grate boiled potato into it and mix well.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with oil. Pour the batter on the tawa and spread it like a small pancake. Pour some drops of oil.
  4. Cover the tawa with a lid and cook the pancake for 1 to 2 minutes on a medium flame. Then flip it to cook the other side as well. Slightly press it.
  5. Once done, take it out on a serving plate.
  6. 'Whole Wheat Pancakes | Aata Pancakes' are ready to be served.
