Winter Special Thali Episode – 3 is a quick and spicy dish. This thali includes jowar ki roti, lahsun ki chutney, pyaz matar ki sabji, green chutney, cucumber, and papad. Whenever you are in a hurry to make lunch, dinner, or an office lunch box, you can prepare this thali. You just need green peas, onion, garlic, tomato, curd, jowar ka atta, and some spices. You can prepare this dish for your unexpected guest also during cold weather. Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING JOWAR KI ROTI :
  • Sorghum Flour/ Jowar Ka Atta - 1 Cup
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Water - As required
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - As required
  • FOR PREPARING LAHSUN KI CHUTNEY :
  • Garlic / Lahsun - 7 to 8 Cloves
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 1 Finely chopped
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Rock Salt / Sendha Namak - As per taste
  • Coriander Powder / Dhania Powder - 1 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds / Rai - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • FOR PREPARING PYAZ MATAR KI SABJI :
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 2 to 3 Finely chopped
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Sliced
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder / Dhania Powder - 1 tsp
  • Green Peas / Hare Matar - 1 Cup
  • Curd / Dahi - 1 tbsp
  • Water - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING JOWAR KI ROTI :
  2. Take jowar ka atta and salt in a mixing bowl. Add water gradually to knead the medium consistency dough.
  3. Then knead it well. Take a small ball sized dough. Dust it with flour and roll out roti from it. Adjust its cracked border using thumb and fingers.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Place prepared roti on the tawa. Roast it on medium flame for 2 minutes. Once slightly roasted on one side, then flip it.
  5. Now roast from another side for 2 to 3 minutes. Then roast the roti on the direct flame. Keep turning in a round and roast from both the sides.
  6. Once done. Take it out to a serving plate. Apply ghee on it. Then press the spoon to make the small-sized indentations on roti, so ghee will be soaked inside.
  7. FOR PREPARING LAHSUN KI CHUTNEY :
  8. Take galic in a grinding jar. Add tomato, red chilli powder, rock salt, coriander powder, and little water. Grind it for a few seconds to prepare its chutney.
  9. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, and prepared chutney. Mix well.
  10. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame. Keep stirring occasionally.
  11. Once done, turn off the flame and take it out in a serving bowl.
  12. FOR PREPARING PYAZ MATAR KI SABJI :
  13. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, green chilli, and onion. Mix well.
  14. Add salt, red chilli powder, and coriander powder. Mix well. Add green peas and little water. Mix well.
  15. Cover the pan and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame. Then add curd and a little water. Mix well.
  16. Bring it to a boil. Once done, turn off the flame and take it out in a serving bowl.
  17. 'Winter Special Thali Episode – 3' is ready to be served with green chutney, cucumber, and papad.
