Bhujiya Gathiya Paratha | Gathiya Paratha is made from whole wheat dough, gathiya, spinach, coriander leaves, and some spices. You can serve it with curd or pickle. Ingredients

  • Gathiya from bhujiya packet - 1 Cup
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Black salt / Kala namak - 1/4 tsp
  • Whole wheat dough / Gehu ka aata - As required
  • Oil - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli / Hari mirchi - 1 Finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • Spinach / Palak - A handful chopped (optional)
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - As required
  • Butter - 1/2 tsp
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take gathiya in a mortar pestle. Coarsely crush it. Take it out in a bowl. Add chaat masala and black salt. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  2. Take the medium-soft whole wheat dough and make a round shaped circular peda from the dough. Dust it with flour and roll a peda to make a big-sized thin paratha.
  3. Then apply oil to it. Then spread the prepared gathiya mixture on it. Now spread green chilli, coriander leaves, and spinach on it.
  4. Now fold the upper and lower parts of the paratha. Then fold both sides and prepare a square shape.
  5. Dust the prepared square shaped dough and roll it again to make a paratha.
  6. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Place the paratha on the tawa. Cook it from one side.
  7. Flip it once it is slightly brown, apply ghee on both sides, and cook it on a low to medium flame. Press the paratha while cooking it to make it crispy.
  8. Once done. Take it out to the serving plate. Add a piece of butter on it.
  9. 'Bhujiya Gathiya Paratha | Gathiya Paratha' is ready to be served.
