Chilli Paneer Gravy is a popular and lovable dish

Chilli Paneer Gravy is an Indo-Chinese dish famous across India. This has paneer/cottage cheese, some veggies, some sauces. You can make this dish dry and enjoy it as a snack or appetizer. Or can make it with gravy to enjoy as a meal. Moreover, this is quick and easy to prepare using easily available ingredients. Everyone will live and enjoy this dish. Ingredients

  • Paneer/Cottage Cheese cubes - 1 cup
  • Ginger - 1/2 Teaspoon finely chopped
  • Garlic - 5 to 6 cloves finely chopped
  • Green chilli - 2 slits
  • Onion - 1 small sized, diced
  • Capsicum - 1, diced
  • Soy Sauce - 1 Tablespoon
  • Tomato Ketchup/Sauce - 1 Tablespoon
  • Red Chilli Sauce - 1 Tablespoon or to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 1 to 2 cups
  • Corn flour/Corn starch - 2 Teaspoon
  • Sugar - a pinch
  • Til/White Sesame Seeds - as required
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Sauté finely chopped ginger, garlic and slit green chilli, on a high flame for few seconds.
  3. Then add diced onion and capsicum. Sauté on a high flame for few seconds. Keep the veggies crunchy.
  4. Add paneer cubes and sauté for few seconds.
  5. Finally, add soy sauce, tomato ketchup/sauce, red chilli sauce, salt. Mix well.
  6. Add water as required to get the desired consistency. Bring the water to boil.
  7. Meanwhile, mix corn starch with little water. Make slurry of it. Add this slurry to the pan. Mix well. Let it cook.
  8. Add sugar and mix well. Cook for a minute then switch off the flame. Transfer chilli paneer gravy to the serving bowl and garnish with sesame seeds.
  9. Delicious 'Chilli Paneer Gravy' is ready to be served.
