Moti Roti | Jadi Roti is a very famous roti of Rajasthan and it is delicious too.

Moti Roti | Jadi Roti is a quiet thicker than regular roti and it is served with lots of ghee in it. This is very simple and very easy to make. This has crispy texture as it is roasted on direct flame. It is very good especially for pregnancy and even after the pregnancy for women. This is a very healthy and nutritious roti. This goes well with any type of curry and sabzi. So, try to make this roti at home and enjoy your meal.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Flour - 1 Cup + 1/2 Cup
  • Ghee/Clarified Buttter - as required
  • Water - as required to make the dough

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add whole wheat flour. Add water to make normal chapati dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 2 Equal parts. Roll to make a ball.
  3. Take a dough ball, dust it with flour and roll it to make a roti. At the center, add some flour then make a cavity of the flour. Pour some ghee in it. Mix well.
  4. Double fold the roti by repeating the above procedure. Then make a cylinder shape log. Fold it in round to make a potli and seal the edges properly.
  5. Dust it with flour and roll to make roti.
  6. Meanwhile, heat a tawa.
  7. Cook the roti on a hot tawa. The flame should be medium. Once it is lightly cooked from both the sides, cook it on a direct flame from both the sides. Make some holes on one side and cook it again.
  8. Once done, take it out on a plate. Pour some ghee on it.
  9. Delicious 'Moti Roti | Jadi Roti' is ready to be served.
