Palak Paneer Bread Pakoda Sandwich is a protein-rich healthy dish. You can prepare it for your weekend brunch, kids lunch box, or on a special occasion. It is easy to make a dish with English Oven Whole Wheat Bread, paneer, palak, Green chutney, and some spices. In addition, upgrade your regular sandwich with this type of sandwich. Moreover, you can serve this sandwich with tomato ketchup and enjoy it with your family. So, try to make this recipe in your kitchen. Tips and Suggestions by a Mom Chef:

  • If you want, you can soak moong dal in hot water for 15 minutes.
  • Oil can be used instead of ghee.
  • Add the fruit salt to the batter just before preparing the pakoda.
  • Normal tawa can be used instead of a grill pan.
  • If you want, you can shallow fry or deep fry the pakoda.
  • Carefully flip the sandwich using 2 spatulas.

Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
  • Cottage Cheese / Paneer - 1 Cup crumbled
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Spinach / Palak - A handful finely chopped
  • Chaat Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Black Pepper Powder / Kali Mirch - 1/2 tsp
  • Black Salt / Kala Namak - 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 1 to 2 Finely chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • FOR PREPARING BATTER :
  • Yellow Lentils / Moong Dal - 1 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • Ginger / Adrak - 1 Inch chopped
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 2 Chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Fruit Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • FOR PREPARING PALAK PANEER BREAD PAKODA SANDWICH :
  • English Oven Whole Wheat Bread - 2 Slices
  • Green Chutney / Hari Chutney - As required
  • Tomato Ketchup - As required
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING STUFFING :
  2. Take paneer in a mixing bowl. Add onion, spinach, chaat masala, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, black salt, green chilli, and salt. Mix well.
  3. FOR PREPARING BATTER :
  4. Wash and soak moong dal for 30 minutes. Then strain the moong dal and transfer it to a grinding jar. Add green chilli, ginger, salt, and little water. Grind it for a few seconds to prepare a medium-thick consistency batter. Take it out in a big bowl.
  5. Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Mix well. Then add fruit salt and add a few drops of water on it. Mix well.
  6. FOR PREPARING PALAK PANEER BREAD PAKODA SANDWICH :
  7. Take a bread slice and apply green chutney. Apply tomato ketchup on another bread slice. Then spread the prepared paneer stuffing on green chutney. Cover it with tomato ketchup applied bread slice.
  8. Dip the prepared bread slices into the prepared batter and coat it well from all sides.
  9. Heat a grill tawa. Add the prepared sandwich on it. Roast it by applying ghee from both sides on a low flame till it becomes nice golden and crispy.
  10. Then roast the pakoda edges as well. Once done, take it out on a serving plate and cut it into 2 pieces.
  11. 'Palak Paneer Bread Pakoda Sandwich' is ready to be served.
