Pinwheel Tikki is a different and crispy dish.

Pinwheel Tikki is a new type of breakfast dish. The regular aloo paratha is given the form of pinwheel. The pinwheel tikkis taste great with tomato sauce or chutney of your choice.   • You can adjust the amount of spices as per your taste.
  • While kneading the dough, put some salt and 1 tablespoon oil.
  • You can make the pinwheel tikki in oval, round or square shape.
  • You can make this dish using the leftover aloo-gobhi sabji also.
  • Serve the dish with Tomato Sauce | Tomato Ketchup

Ingredients

  • Potato/Aloo - 2 medium size boiled
  • Gram flour/Besan - 1 tablespoon roasted
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red chili powder/Lal mirch powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander seeds powder/Dhania powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • All spice mix powder/Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger-green chili paste/Adrak-Hari mirch paste - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves - chopped as required
  • Wheat dough - ready to make 2 to 3 roti
  • Oil - 3 to 4 tablespoon
  • Clarified butter/Ghee - as required
  • Namkeen sev - to garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, put the boiled and mashed potato. Add gram flour, salt to taste, red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, all spice mix powder, chaat masala, ginger-green chili paste and coriander leaves.
  2. Now, mix all the ingredients with hands. Take the ready dough and knead it once. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan.
  3. Take about medium to big portion of the dough. Roll to make a roti. Apply ghee on the roti. Place the potato masala on the roti and spread it evenly with spoon.
  4. Fold the roti from one side and roll it. Close the side sides of the roll. With pizza cutter, cut the roll in small to medium size pieces.
  5. Take the small pieces and press them lightly with palms. Place the pinwheel tikki in the pan. Roast the tikki on low to medium flame, from one side till golden brown in color.
  6. Flip and roast from the other side. It will take 3 to 4 minutes to cook the tikki. Garnish with namkeen sev.
  7. The Pinwheel Tikki is ready to be served.
