Sandwich Dahi Wada | Instant Dahi Wada Sandwich is an impressive and delicious snack that includes just the right balance of sour, sweet, and spicy flavors in every bite. This snack is prepared with spicy vegetable-stuffed bread slices coated with creamy curd. It is topped with chutneys, namkeen sev, and some spices. It is an instant version of dahi bade and hence it does not have any soaking or grinding process. Ingredients

  • Capsicum / Shimla mirch - 1 Finely chopped
  • Carrot / Gajar - 1/2 Grated
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Roasted peanuts / Mungfali - 1 tbsp
  • Grated cottage cheese / Grated paneer - 2 tsp (optional)
  • Schezwan sauce - 1 tbsp (optional)
  • Veg mayonnaise - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp + As required
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1/2 tsp + As required
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder / Kali mirch powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • Bread - 2 slices
  • Curd / Dahi - 2 Cups whisked
  • Tamarind chutney / Meethi chutney - As required
  • Green chutney / Hari chutney - As required
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - As required
  • Nylon sev - As required for garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take capsicum in a bowl. Add carrot, onion, roasted peanuts, grated paneer, schezwan sauce, veg mayonnaise, salt, chaat masala, red chilli powder, all spice mix powder, black pepper powder, and coriander leaves. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  2. Take bread slices and remove their edges. Cut it into 4 equal parts.
  3. Take a bread piece and add the prepared vegetable stuffing to it. Cover it with another bread piece. Likewise, prepare all bread sandwich.
  4. Now dip the prepared sandwich into the curd and coat it well from all sides. Take it out on a serving plate.
  5. Pour curd, tamarind chutney, and green chutney on it.
  6. Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, and chaat masala. Garnish it with nylon sev and coriander leaves.
