Ingredients

  • Ghee/ clarified butter - as required
  • Idli/ dosa batter - as required
  • Water - as required
  • Salt - as required
  • Onion - 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • Green capsicum - 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • Red chili flakes - as required
  • Cheese - grated as required

Instructions

  1. Take idli/dosa batter, add salt, water, and mix it well.
  2. Heat a pan and grease it with the ghee.
  3. Pour a ladleful of batter on it and spread out in a circular motion slightly thick than the dosa.
  4. Now, sprinkle onion, capsicum, and tomato over it evenly. Keep the flame low to medium.
  5. Further, press it gently so that the toppings veggies pressed into the batter.
  6. Drizzle ghee on the uttapam and around the edges.
  7. Cover and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes on low to medium flame.
  8. Flip over on the other side once the uttapam turns golden brown.
  9. Cover and cook it for a minute. Flip it again.
  10. Now, sprinkle red chili flakes and grated cheese evenly.
  11. Delicious Vegetable Cheesy Uttapam | Vegetable Uttapam is ready to be served.
