Aloo Chole Chaat | Instant Chaat is a healthy and delicious chaat.

Aloo Chole Chaat | Instant Chaat is one of the easiest chaat recipes. It is prepared from boiled potato and boiled chole tossed in spices and topped with veggies, sweet chutney, green chutney, and then garnished with sev and coriander leaves. It is a simple version of chaat that gives a tangy, sweet, and spicy taste. Chole is a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, it offers a variety of health benefits, such as improving digestion, aiding weight management, and reducing the risk of several diseases.   • Instead of khajur chutney, you can use tamarind chutney.
  • If you do not have tamarind chutney, then you can also use tomato sauce.
  • You can skip the onion if you do not like it.

Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Hing/ asafoetida - a pinch
  • Boiled potato - 2 big-sized, chopped
  • Chole/ chickpea - 1 big-cup
  • Water - as required
  • Salt - as required
  • Amchur powder/ dry mango powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - as required
  • Red chili powder - as required
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder - as required
  • Onion - as required, finely chopped
  • Tomato - as required, finely chopped
  • Khajur chutney/ Dates chutney or emali chutney/ tamarind chutney - as required
  • Green chutney - as required
  • Zero sev/ sev/ Indian snack - as required
  • Coriander leaves - as required, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak chole overnight in enough water and boil it.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add hing and boiled potato. Saute it on a medium flame.
  3. Add boiled chole and saute it.
  4. Now, add salt, 1/2 teaspoon amchur powder, 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, and 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds powder. Saute it for a few seconds and turn off the flame.
  5. Then, transfer it to a serving bowl and top it with onion, tomato, khajur chutney, and green chutney.
  6. Sprinkle some chaat masala, red chili powder, and roasted cumin powder.
  7. Garnish with zero sev and coriander leaves.
