Besan Pyaz Ka Paratha is a healthy and nutritious breakfast idea.

Besan Pyaz Ka Paratha is gram flour and onion stuffed flavourful instant dish. It is a nice idea for a kid’s tiffin or for lunch or dinner. It goes well with kair ka aachar, curd, or green chutney or you can serve it with a hot cup of tea. Everyone will love its taste.   • The onion should be added to the gram flour mixture just before making the paratha.
  • The stuffed paratha should be rolled thin.
  • The paratha should be roasted on low flame.

Ingredients

  • Gram flour / Besan - 2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp + As required
  • Dry mint powder / Phudina powder - 1/2 tsp
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Green chilli / Hari mirch - 3 to 4 Finely chopped
  • Whole wheat dough / Gehu ka aata - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take gram flour in a bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, dry mint powder, all spice mix powder, asafoetida, and 1 tbsp oil. Mix well using a hand.
  2. Then add onion and green chilli. Mix well.
  3. Take small ball sized dough and make round shaped circular peda from the dough. Dust it with flour and roll a peda to make a paratha.
  4. Apply oil to it. Then add the prepared gram flour stuffing in the center. Join the edges and seal the paratha properly. Dust it with flour. Then roll it with light hands and prepare the thin paratha.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with oil. Place the prepared paratha on it and cook it on one side. Flip it, once it is slightly brown.
  6. Apply oil on both sides and cook on a low flame. Press the paratha while cooking. Once done, transfer it to a serving plate.
  7. 'Besan Pyaz Ka Paratha' is ready to be served.
