Ingredients

  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Capsicum / Shimla mirch - 1 Finely chopped
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp + As required
  • Black pepper powder / Kali mirch - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Tomato ketchup - As required
  • Veg mayonnaise - As required
  • Bread - 2 Slices
  • Garlic chutney - As required
  • Cheese slice - 1
  • Butter - As required
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - For garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take onion in a big bowl. Add capsicum, 1/2 tsp of chaat masala, black pepper powder, salt, tomato ketchup, and veg mayonnaise, Mix well. Keep it aside.
  2. Now take bread slices. Apply garlic chutney on both bread slices. Now add the prepared vegetable mixture to one slice of bread. Add a cheese slice to it.
  3. Sprinkle chaat masala and black pepper powder on it. Cover it with another bread slice.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a grill pan. Grease it with butter. Place the prepared sandwich on it.
  5. Toast it from both sides on a low flame till it becomes nice golden and crispy. Once done, take it out to a serving plate.
  6. Then cut it and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  7. 'Cheese Veg Garlic Sandwich' is ready to be served with banana wafers and yam wafers.
