Instant Dosa is a quick breakfast recipe for very busy mornings.

Instant Dosa is a simple and easy recipe with minimum efforts. Here, we used carrot only but you can add any veggies of your choice. Add more and more veggies to make it more nutritious. This dosa recipe does not require any fermentation process. Mostly, South Indians used to eat this dosa with podi or chutney. Try to prepare this healthy and tasty dosa and enjoy it with family and friends. Share your feedback in the comment section.

Ingredients

  • Dahi/ Curd - 1 cup or as required
  • Water - as required
  • Sooji/ Semolina - 3 tablespoons
  • Besan/ Gram flour - 3 tablespoons
  • Rice flour - 3 tablespoons
  • Sorgam flour/ Jawar flour - 3 tablespoons (optional)
  • Gehu ka aata/ Whole wheat flour - 3 tablespoons
  • Plain oats powder - 3 tablespoons
  • Jeera/ Cumin seeds - 2 teaspoon
  • Gajar/ Carrot - grated 1 small-sized
  • Dhaniya patta/ Coriander leaves - a fistful finely chopped
  • Namak/ Salt - as required
  • Laal mirch powder/ Red chili powder - as required
  • Ghee/ Clarified butter - as required

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add curd and water. Whisk it properly.
  2. Add sooji, besan, jowar flour, rice flour, whole wheat flour, and plain oat powder. Whisk it properly to avoid forming lumps.
  3. Now, add cumin seeds, carrot, coriander leaves, salt, and red chilli powder and mix well. The batter should be of medium consistency. Allow it to rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Heat a pan and pour a ladleful of batter in the centre of the pan.
  5. Immediately begin to spread it evenly starting from the centre in a circular way in a clockwise direction.
  6. Now, sprinkle ghee at the edges and the centre and allow it to cook until it becomes golden and crispy.
  7. Flip it and allow it to cook for a few seconds and then turn off the flame.
  8. Delicious ‘Instant Dosa’ is ready to be served.
