Instant Bread Dahi Bade is a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth dumpling coated in a sweetened creamy curd. It is topped with chutneys, namkeen boondi, sev, and some spices. The result is an impressive and delicious snack that includes just the right balance of sour, sweet, and savory, flavors in every bite. It is an instant version of dahi bade and hence it does not require a soaking or grinding process. Ingredients

  • Bread - 4 Slices
  • Water - As required
  • Oil - For frying
  • Curd / Dahi - 2 Cups whisked
  • Powdered sugar - 1 & 1/2 tbsp
  • Green chutney / Hari chutney - As required
  • Tamarind chutney / Meethi chutney - As required
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal mirch powder - As required
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - As required
  • Nylon sev - As required for garnishing
  • Namkeen boondi - As required for garnishing
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - As required for garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take the bread slices, and cut their edges. Then dip it from one side in little water and then squeeze out the water by pressing them between your palms.
  2. Carefully fold it inside and shape it like a vada. Likewise, prepare all vada.
  3. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan. Place the prepared vada into the hot oil. Fry them on medium flame.
  4. Deep fry them until crispy and light golden brown from all sides. Once done, take them out to a plate.
  5. Now take a pan of water. Add prepared vada to the pan.
  6. Then instantly take it out and press them gently with your hands to squeeze water. Arrange them on a serving plate.
  7. Take curd in a bowl. Add powdered sugar and mix it well to prepare sweetened curd.
  8. Pour sweetened curd, tamarind chutney, and green chutney on all the vadas.
  9. Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, and roasted cumin seeds powder. Garnish it with namkeen boondi, nylon sev, and coriander leaves.
  10. 'Instant Bread Dahi Bade' is ready to be served.
